The dogs impounded at Animal Care Services need volunteers to give them a chance to escape the confines of their enclosures and give them a chance to play and RUN in the large, fenced play yards there at Animal Care Services.

The dogs can be turned loose in the play yards and have a wonderful time running, splashing in the wading pool, and mostly POOPING and PEEING, because most of the dogs just "hold it" until someone lets them out.

It's not unusual for completely docile and sweet-natured dogs to eventually develop a bit of 'kennel aggression' after being cooped up for weeks on end, confined to their enclosures with little opportunity for escape. When this happens, it usually means the end of their life there because unless a dog can be housed successfully with other dogs, ACS cannot keep them, as there isn't enough space.

Volunteers are especially needed during weekdays, anytime from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. PLEASE, if you have a bit of free time, consider going to Animal Care Services to help some of the impounded dogs ... help break up their monotony and add a bright spot to their life.
