Free pet sterilization

Cats and dogs can be spayed and neutered free or at low cost at the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program’s mobile clinics.

Animals must be at least 4 months old. Pets should not be given food or water after 10 p.m. the night before surgery.

The van will open at 7:30 a.m. with service on a first-come, first-served basis. Pets belonging to individuals on government assistance will receive the service free. To learn the price schedule for others, call (210) 673-7722.

Where: H-E-B, Loop 1604 and Culebra Road at FM 471. Free sterilization surgery will be offered at this clinic paid for by a grant from Animal Care Services. Rabies shots will be $10 unless a current certificate is shown at intake.
