$10 sterilization clinic for feral cats

Feral Fridays will take on a new meaning this week as Animal Care Services marks National Feral Cat Day, October 16th, 2009 with a low cost sterilization clinic just for homeless cats. Animal Care Services will host the $10 clinic at the ACS shelter located at 4710 State Highway 151 off Old Highway 90. Appointments are required and there are still spots available! The clinic is for graduates of San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition Workshops only and each cat brought in will also receive a rabies shot and an ear notch in accordance with the guidelines for Trap Neuter Return. Male and female feral cats are welcome and all animals should be contained in a humane trap labeled with the caretaker's name and phone number.
