Oct. 27, 2008: Mars Petcare US announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of bags of SPECIAL KITTY® Gourmet Blend dry cat food sold at Wal-Mart locations in 15 states, not including Texas.

Hartz recalls dog food chips

Oct. 17, 2008: The Hartz Mountain Corporation has voluntarily recalled a specific lot of Hartz chicken-basted rawhide chips for dogs due to concerns that one or more bags within the lot are potentially contaminated with Salmonella.
